Handmade Flowers

I thought I would enter the challenge over at Fashionable Stamping challenge 29 Anything floral/handmade flowers, this is my card:

I love the simplicity to this card!! The flowers were made from dried baby wipes, cut into spirals & you know the rest. The wipes have a lovely soft feel when dried out!! The stamp is from Creative Expression.

The easel is a template found at CardMaking Paradise

Number 50

Sara has some great number templates over at CardMaking Paradise

This is a card I made using her number 50 template:

I used Flora Doodles paper, over stitched the zig zags, used spellbinder dies for the cut out & butterfly.  I loved the way this card turned out!!

Book Card

This is a very clever template Sara has come up with, you will find the template at CardMaking Paradise

This is the card I made:

I used Kanbans Rose & Dandelion stamp for the main image, embossed & decoupaged the roses, stamped the book with a script text.  For the cover I used distress inks.
Here is another card I made with the same template:

Babies Vest Card

I thought I should make a start with making some cards for my 2 new granchildren due in just a matter of weeks now, so thought I would see what templates were available at CardMaking Paradise Sara has made this fun little vest template and this is what I made:

I love the way you can use this template as a stand alone card ( C6 size)  or make it smaller and use it on the washing line!!  I made use of the wooden sticks you get in tesco cafe for the posts!!!

Homage to the Thread

I was inspired by one of our forum ladies, Trudy, to have a go at altering something and I had this trinkit box laying around:

and this is what I came up with:

I used to do alot of sewing in my younger days so thought I would play with that idea.  I first cover the box with distress inks, cut squares from an old sewing book for the backing paper, also tore pieces and added to the outside, then embossed the edges with bronze embossing powder. I then random stamped with Andy Skinners 'A Stitch in Time' set.

The dress form is a template from CardMaking Paradise, I love this template Sara. I added buttons, zips, pins and lots of odd sewing bits I've had for ages, the flower is made from twisting masking tape, a real fun project to do.

I will enter this box into the challenge over at The Stamp Man ... Alter It.
