Just had some fun with the new sleigh template from CardMaking Paradise : it can be used as a stand alone card, a 3D card or a topper.
The challenge at The Stampman is : Emboss It, so this is perfect for the challenge.
I tore white
paper to simulate snow drifts then covered the edges with white UTEE to look
like snow, I love the way the UTEE made the edges curl, gave it dimension. For
the sleigh I used Vintage Photo ink over embossed cream card for wood effect.
For the body of the sleigh I used my Hougie board to add more lines to an
embossed cream card, I was after creating a padded look to the body. I used PVA
glue for the studs. The posts were made out of sticks from a well-known
supermarket café (used for stirring tea) a Die-namics Fishtail die was used for
the sentiment flags. Finished off with snowflakes.
Here is another use of the template!!
I covered some burgundy card with clear sticky back plastic to give a shiny metal look and cut the base card from this.I used Antique Linen Distress crackle paint for the body of the sleigh and then covered with Vintage photo ink. I was after an aged leather look. I cut the top trim from an antique gold card edged with Vintage Photo ink; the studs are PVA glue covered with Vintage Photo. I wanted an old brass look.I used a Die-namics Fishtail die for the tag. Finished off with acetate snowflakes.
As you know I have been obsessed with making baby cards due to me expecting 2 new grandchildren, one is now 4 weeks old the other due in 2 weeks, so this is the card I would like to enter into this challenge:
I used Spellbinder dies for the heart appeture and sentiment. Sissix sizzlits die for the pram. I used 2 pink distress inks to highlight all the edges. I love pink!!!!
